You have to activate your account before you can login. To activate your account, check your mail box for the activation link we sent to you immediately after you signed up. Click on the activation link to activate your account. NB: Be sure to check your spam box if you can't find the email in your inbox.
Not receiving activation / authentication email?
If you didn't receive activation link or can't find it, do well to request for another activation link.
Check if the data you entered on the registration form is correct. Displayed errors mesages can help you resolve these issues. Sometimes it could be browser issue. Specifically, we recommend google chrome browser. Try to change your browser or turn off any translator. If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to contact us.

For now, we don't allow changing of account email address. You can always login to your account via your email and password. If you loss access to your email account, ensure you don't forget your Buy and Hire login password. Forgeting your password will mean that you need to reset your password and you can't do that without having access to the email account you are using for Buy and Hire.
Our email do get to the user when the receiver's email address is correct. If you don't receive e-mail do ensure that you have entered your email address correctly.
Ensure to check your spam box. Some e-mail may not deliver to your inbox but on your spam box. If you can't still find any email, try using another e-mail address or contact us.
On our homepage, select "I want to buy" or "I want to hire" on the search field, depending on the criteria that matches your need, then select the category and sub-category of item you want to buy.
Upon selecting the required fields, click on "Search Item" and there you go. Our website will show you item based on the specification you selected. Feel free to modify the search to get your desired result.
Upon finding the item you want, click to view the item details and specifications. If satisfied with the item descriptions, proceed to call or chat with the seller or hirer of the item through the call to action button you will find on the page.
Meet the seller or hirer in person at a safe public place or his/her store and check the quality of the item(s) and make sure it meets your expectations before making payment.
Don't make any upfront payment whatsoever, including delivery fee.
If you want the item to be delivered to you, then you have to "pay on delivery". Take caution to check if the dispatch rider (delivery personnel) has a proposed account detail to be paid to or phone number to call. If the delivery personnel already has a proposed account, verify that the account name or seller details from the delivery personnel match with the details on our website. Go ahead and make payment if there is match. Otherwise, take a break; the transaction could be fraudulent. If the delivery personnel does not have any proposed account, go ahead to make payment to the details you got from our website after confirming that the delivery personnel will release the item to you and calling the seller.
Avoid anything that appears too good to be true, such as unrealistically low prices and promises of quick money.
Never give out your financial information, including bank account details, eBay/PayPal info and any other information that could be misused.

On our website, click on "Place Advertisement" and then fill out the required fields with the correct description of the item.
Click next to submit the form each time until you get to the end of the advert page. You will be required to make payment for your advert. However, you can start for free, in which case we will run your advert for only 24 hours.
Genuine buyer should want to see the item before making payment. Arrange to meet with the potential buyer in a public place or in your store.
Only release item and/or its document, key, etc. after you have received full payment. Ensure you check your bank account and confirm that the funds are there to avoid fake alerts.
Stay within sight when a potential buyer is testing the item. Never leave a buyer alone with the item or its part (e.g. key, remote). Your personal safety comes first so if you feel uncomfortable at any time, walk away.
If the item require paperwork (e.g. vehicle, properties), do well to get the paperwork ready before the scheduled meeting. Buyers can view these documents to check the details but never let them take a picture. It may be used for fraud.

Please note that you have to register a verve card for Interswitch safetoken service before you can use it for online transactions. This can be done at ATM. Some banks require that you request for your card to be activated for online transactions. So, if the card is active and still unable to process online payment, ask your bank to profile it for online transactions.
